(Sweet, Sweet Memories!)

Where the CHS elite used to meet for lunch.
The rear tennis court. Hey Mike R. wanna weed and roll this? Side court is the same.
You can barely make out the old marble soda fountain.  Look closely and you can see the old taps for soda water. Hey Josie, how about a vanilla shake?
Cakes,  Pies,  Tarts,  Sugar Cookies,  Snowballs,  Brownies, and Penny Candy.  Chess (and pipe) Club meets at 8pm.  Art's grumbling about taxes.
Remember spinning quarters on the marble countertop?  How many could you keep going?
THANKS, AND A TIP O'  MY HAT TO SANDY WEAVER (SWEETLAND - '65) WHO STOPPED BY CRAFTON AND GRABBED THIS SHOT I MISSED AT GLASER'S.  IT'S OF THE CASE IN THE FRONT WINDOW, AND REMINDED ME OF THE TOP TENNIS STARS WHO STOPPED BY TO PLAY ON THE CLAY COURTS. AUSSIE ROD LAVER WAS THE SPORT'S FIRST MILLIONAIRE, WINNING THE TOP 4 TOURNEMENTS AT LEAST TWICE.  IF MEMORY SERVES ME CORRECTLY OTHERS WHO DROPPED IN INCLUDED BILLIE JEAN KING AND BOBBY RIGGS; NOT AT THE SAME TIME HOWEVER.
THANKS AGAIN SANDY!
SCROLL DOWN FOR 2 COOL PICS SUBMITTED BY SANDY WEAVER (SWEETLAND - '65)!
WANT A CONE? HOW ABOUT A SUNDAE OR SODA?  JUST DON'T ASK JOSIE FOR A SHAKE.
"NO MILK!"
I REMEMBER WHEN ART POSTED THESE PRICES. HE DIDN'T WANT DO DO IT BECAUSE HE KNEW THE KIDS, EVEN IN THE EARLY '70'S, DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY.  I THINK HE KNEW THAT IT WAS ALL COMING TO AN END.. WE STILL FOUND THE MONEY TO STOP BY AT LUNCH OR LATE, (AFTER 9) AT NIGHT.
THANKS AGAIN TO SANDY WEAVER (SWEETLAND) FOR ANOTHER GREAT PIC!  I REALLY HAVE TO GET A MAVICA!
